Underground Writer

Hi, I'm Luke Jensen, from Flower Mound, Texas, just north of Dallas. Before I go much further, let me get some things out of the way:

No, I am not related to Jane Jensen, but I do have an aunt named Jane. She's on my mom's side of the family, though, so she is not, nor has she ever been, a Jensen. I am, however, the same Luke Jensen mentioned in the credits of AGDI's remake of King's Quest II. I was also an uncredited tester for Himalaya Studios' Al Emmo and the Lost Dutchman's Mine. It's a long story.

Phew.

In all seriousness, my exposure to adventure games started in about 1987 when my parents bought King's Quest III. From then on I was practically addicted to Sierra's games. I devoured anything and everything they released, with only a few exceptions.

After Sierra's downturn in the mid- to late 90s, I branched out to other companies and their games, such as the Monkey Island series, The Longest Journey and Runaway. However, my first "allegiance" when it comes to adventure games will always lie with Sierra. *sniff*

I also lent my talents to several fan-led gaming projects over the years, including one of the largest. Given my experience in the independent game arena, that's what I'll be covering for Adventure Gamers. I've always had high admiration for entrepreneurial people who strive to keep our favorite genre alive.

It's an honor to be here!
