Hidden Expedition: Devil's Triangle article:
I haven't heard anything, but that's a question best directed to Big Fish themselves.

Hidden Expedition: Devil's Triangle article:
So is this game available for Mac or not? And if it's not available yet, any word on a Mac release date? I couldn't find it for Mac on the Big Fish Games website.

This is insane! Big Fish is releasing so many awesome-looking titles all of a sudden! Or has it always been like that and I'm simply late at the party? o.O

Hidden Expedition: Devil's Triangle article:
Hey, what a nice coincidence! I was actually planning on buying the game this weekend, and now you just posted a most excellent review of it. So thank you! It looks rather colorful and exciting. And if the inspired Drawn: The Painted Tower has taught me anything, it's that the games actually developed by Big Fish are of very high quality.

Casebook: Episode III - Snake in the Grass article:
im a big fan of this series (not many out there sadly). i can totally understand why this series isnt as big as it should be: lack of gameplay. i feel like theres a huge opportunity missed by the developers to make this series epic (for example this would be a perfect hidden object adventure, but its not even that). however, its worth it to me for the nostalgic FMV and the very intersting technology. although i do think even 3.5 is sort of overrated if you look at it strictly from a gaming perspective. hopefully there will be a couple more episodes.

Oh no, that could still happen (in an article of its own if it ever did), but it's not on the radar at the moment.

Phantasmagoria article:
@ Fien: You're obviously right about Midnight Stranger. I was referring to Jeff Green's third game, published after Phanta, by the name of Mode, where the supernatural element, the color palette of the interiors and even the musical orchestration of the game reminded me heavily of Phanta. I'm not implying that Mr. Green stole something about the game, mind you, but simply that the art direction of Phantasmagoria was seminal. Oh, and one can even argue, as a side note, that Mode and its sci-fi undertone later influenced Phanta 2 :D I stand by my point about Voyeur II. Even if the gameplay is completely different, the secluded environment, the Christie-like mystery (exampled in Phanta by Michael and Zoltan's wives), even some characters (i. e. Prysirr) are identical in both games, not to mention that several games used some of Phanta's distorted, baroque imaginery in a very similar ambiance, like Realms of the Haunting, where I've always had the impression that many locations were inspired by Phanta, like the red bedroom, the cellar and so on.

Phantasmagoria article:
@Andrea: The game Midnight Stranger featured a mood bar, which was innovative in those days, but it has nothing in common with Phantasmagoria that I can see, except that it's also FMV. In fact, it was released two years BEFORE the first Phantasmagoria. :) And it's obscure as hell. My guess is that of all the people reading these comments I'm the only one who has actually played it. In my opinion, the gameplay of the second Voyeur has much more in common with the both famous and infamous non-adventure Night Trap than with Phantasmagoria. Neither Voyeur II nor Midnight Stranger "overtook Phantasmagoria both in quality and in successs". I hope you can give us better examples of "a lengthy succession of games that borrowed heavily from its style, its graphical presentation, its storytelling gimmicks and more."

good news. i just bought it. i'm surprised this series is not as popular as many of the casual hidden object games etc. I love it for the cheesy fmv and the interesting technology.

URU: Ages Beyond Myst article:
There was only ever one free expansion made available, and none of the online content is relevant anymore, so there won't be any updates coming.

URU: Ages Beyond Myst article:
"(Editor's note: We will revisit URU as new expansion packs for the game are released. At this time, the 2.5 star rating represents our recommendation.)" Well, I think that those two expansion packs have been released for quite a long time. Is this 5+ year-old review going to be updated with the new content addressed? Or is it a case in which no one really cares anymore...?
