Modern Warfare 2 has a completely unbelievable story, which is too bad, because one of the reasons Modern Warfare resonated so much with players was how much it was like something that could happen in real life.

However, in terms of sheer entertainment, MW2 is an amazingly well-done game. The production, the levels, the different gameplay elements; everything is done well. The level of polish is almost beyond any game I've ever played before. The graphics, animations, and weapons balance, especially, are some of the finest I've seen.

Finished chapter 4 of the Tales of Monkey Island. There were only two instances where I was completely stuck.
Spoiler:
First it was using the glass eye on a poxed pirate. I just couldn't figure out how to keep them in an enraged state long enough to use the eye, since you could get each and every one of them angry during dialogue.

Then the second problem was how to shock the sponge. It was obvious it had something to do with the Club 41 exit, but usually in adventure games you just have to use items together, I don't think I've ever encountered a puzzle before where you just have to walk back and forth in a specific place.

I found that puzzle a bit iffy since when you got the eye the glass guy mentioned it being short sighted, yet this never seemed to pose a problem since you ended up using it on the judge who was pretty far away.

Also for the static puzzle there was one in toonstruck exactly like it

Spoiler:
The pepper puzzle was a good one too. I kept trying to do something with the candle wax, because that's what Homer Simpson did.

Haha yeah, got a bit irritated at it though since the machine was on the other side of the island and I ended up having to make 3 trips cause I didn't realize I had to talk to the barman again to raise the container and because I forgot that you had to use the hook.
Was dissapointed at how many times the hook was used for open lock puzzles, originally thought the puzzle to opening the monkeys cage door was gonna be a throwback to the first game and ottis when I heard the molten glass would burn through anything and that there was 6 shot glasses.

Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer is brilliant, and I had fun with the campaign, but I was left really disappointed by the story. Not only is it insanely over the top and completely illogical, Infinity Ware do not even tell it properly, with the only storytelling taking place as vague 30 second blasts of radio chatter in between missions. Characters suddenly reveal sinister motivations out of the blue for no good reason, countries declare massive invasions over incidents easily explainable, and nuclear warheads are shot into space to create an EMP effect...I think? I still don't full understand that one. I loved Modern Warfare's campaign, and playing it again right before this just reminded me how well they told that game's involving and relatively simple story. This game's campaign is fun in a big cheesy action Summer movie kind of way, but all of the tension, surprises and thrills of the first game are gone, replaced with nonsensical plot twists, boat chases and astronaut nukings.

Baldur's Gate, with my Chaotic Evil Berserker named Morrigan (who I later found out to be a major character's name in Dragon Age).

I just finished Return to Ravenhearst. My first HOG, and I loved it! Not too hard, relaxing, good - very logical puzzles, scary athmosphere.

Anyone who can recommend a game like this?

For a total different atmosphere (more fantasy, albeit in a Burtonesque way), there's Drawn: The Painted Tower.

Last game I finished was The Longest Journey, last night. Solid 7.5/10, would be higher except that a few of the puzzles were too obscure to make much sense.

After that I played through the demo for Machinarium, but I'll probably get the full version so I can't say I have finished that. Based on the demo I would say it is at least an 8/10.

Not sure what's next but I have several savegames in progress: Baldur's Gate I, Psychonauts, Sacrifice, and (about halfway through but haven't touched in about a year) Half Life 2.

Finally i've finished Dragon Age: Origins after 60 hours and 15 minutes on normal mode.

Pros:

- A lot of tatics can be used in your battle, like drinking potions when you hp fall under a percentage, Using some kind of ability when you character is sorrounded, etc.
- Like somebody around here said before, each dialogue option can change everything. It's not like those game which doesn't matter what you say it will make no difference in the game storyline.
- During the gameplay you find lots of documents with some info about places, items characters, items and some funny and creepy adventures tales. It helps to get into the game atmosphere.
- Decent ending, you feel as if their job had been worth.

Cons:

- The game is too long, after several hours killing, running and arguing it starts to get a bit repetitive.
- Too much dungeons, basically you clean it fight the boss and return to the village.
- A bit predictable, no big twists in storyline and just a few npcs actions surprised me.
- Some rewards are very disappointing. After killing lots of dragons, darkspawns, giant horned uggly beasts together, you get as a "reward" just a fork, dirty boots and some bronze coins... sometimes you have only the npc gratitude, lol.

Overall I've enjoyed the game. It's fun but I think it could be better.

7,5/10

I think it's time to play an adventure game, i just got tired of Rpgs.
