For those who have been waiting anxiously for A Vampyre Story and asking "when?", the answer is finally "now", as Autumn Moon's debut adventure is available for download today exclusively at GamersGate.
The highly-anticipated adventure from Bill Tiller and company casts players in the role of an opera singer named Mona, who dreams of escaping her Draxsylvanian imprisonment and returning to her career in Paris. There's just one catch, though - Mona herself is now a vampire, and she'll need to use her vampiric abilities and get help from her bat friend Froderick in order to achieve her goal.
The game is due out shortly in both North America and the UK, but for the time being, the exclusive GamersGate download is the only English version available. The exclusivity does come at a price, however, as the announced retail versions are expected to ship for less than the GamersGate offering.
A Vampyre Story has been all over the news of late, with a playable demo recently released to check the game out for yourselves.
Hollywood's got nothing on Free Town, U.S.A., site of the new "Dangeresque" movie in the latest episode of Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People, which is now available for puchase and download on PC and WiiWare.
As a follow-up to the first two cartoon-only Dangeresque movies on Homestarrunner.com, Dangeresque 3: The Criminal Projective is the first interactive installment of the homemade action movie series, written, directed, and starring Strong Bad himself as the title character. Playing a crooked (what else?!) cop with an itchy trigger finger, Strong Ba... I mean, Dangeresque must "stay alive long enough to defeat his arch-nemesis, save the world, and get the girl." And, of course, look good doing it while the cameras roll.
As with previous releases of SBCG4AP episodes, the PC version of Dangeresque 3 is available immediately for download and purchase worldwide, and through WiiWare in North America, with international launch to follow soon. The PC version can be found at Telltale's official website, along with a playable demo.
It's so close you can taste it now, but just a little bite... A Vampyre Story, that is, as a playable demo for the highly-anticipated comic adventure has now been released for download.
The debut adventure from Autumn Moon casts players in the role of an opera singer-turned-vampire named Mona. With the help of her bat friend Froderick, Mona is determined to escape captivity from the wicked but laughably unimposing Baron Shrowdy and return to Paris to resume her career. To do that, however, she'll not only need to use her wits, but learn to develop her vampire powers as well.
The demo is not taken from the start of the game, but takes place at a cemetery where Mona is trying to find her own grave. Shrowdy has other plans for her, however, so first players will need to overcome the obstacles he places in the way. The 445 MB demo can be found at standard download sites like FileFront or WorthPlaying

City Interactive sure isn't wasting time when it comes to new games. With Art of Murder already released and a sequel in the works, the Polish developer has also managed to squeeze in an all-new conspiracy thriller in the meantime, and today Chronicles of Mystery: The Scorpio Ritual shipped to retailers in North America.
The new game, which has gone through a rather turbulent name-changing adventure of its own, from Testament of Faith to Testament of Sin to the current title, casts players in the role of a young archaeologist named Sylvie Leroux. Travelling across the Mediterranean in pursuit of an uncle who was investigating a sinister mystery, Sylvie's adventure will take her to such places as the Vatican, Malta, and Istanbul, but she is not alone, as an influential organization is determined to protect the secret her uncle sought to expose.
