Default Metronome and Theseis for PS3?

American's Gamestop just leaked out that the PS3 is likley to be released 1/10 (October 1st) 2006 . Along with the console the following games are scheduled for release the same day:

I-8, Condemned: Criminal Origins, Dark Sector, Devil May Cry 4, Dirty Harry, Dog Tag, Eyedentify, Fifth Phantom Saga, Fight Night Round 3, Formula 1, Gundam World, Heavenly Sword, Killing Day,
Killzone 2, Metronome, Motorstorm, NioH, Possession, Project Delta,
Psychopath, Scarface: The World is Yours, Spider Man 3, Stranglehold, Tekken, The Darkness, The Getaway 3, Theseis, Vision Gran Turismo och Warhawk.

Notice, that Metronome is in the list. I hope it goes well for this game, and we might be able to see some upcoming titles for the next-gen consoles!!

Well, at least officially it still doesn't have a publisher.

Sex! I hope it is not a PS3 exclusive. While the game did look really sharp, it ran neatly on the pc. Granted, they were using a PS2 gamepad, but still, a PC version would be diggable. I would also dig a Revolution port. Go revolution!

Theseis
That surprised me. For some reason I mistakenly thought it is a "next-gen" game in terms of graphics only (you know, marketing talk).

Of course, Gamestop taking preorders is not yet a definitive proof, at least as far as the release date is concerned. Also note how both Metronome and Theseis are being published by a company NONE.

I'll modify the title, if you don't mind.

No way in the world will all these be released the same day as the console. I mean Metronome doesn't even have a publisher yet. But yes, it was announced that they will come to the PS3 as well.

By the way, anyone knows anything about Theseis?

Depends. If you've already seen this thread and checked the official site and the IGN article (both linked from there; neither exceptionally informative), then I'm not aware of any new info.

Sorry to disappoint people (including myself), but I just heard back from Tarsier. There is absolutely no validity to the rumour about Metronome for PS3 (or any system). They're still talking to publishers, but nothing's currently happening.

I hope "talking to publishers" means choosing the one that would best suit their needs, not trying to find a single company interested in Metronome. It would be such a shame if they couldn't find one. I guess they could always try their luck with Manifesto Games, once it succeeds in finding investors itself.

As Jack said, it is still not confirmed that it will ever be released. You deserve the lazy reader hat.

Off-Topic: Is switching the day and month around an overseas thing? I find it very confusing and never understood why anyone wouldn't use 10/1.

To me that reads 10th of the 1st month. Makes no sense to me why anyone would use 10/1 to mean 1/10

US uses a different standard for representing date. In Lebanon, we say day/month/year.

Well I'm pretty sure a game like that will pick up a publisher, If Runaway 2 can, I'm sure Metronome can.

Because US way is counter-intuitive. Month/day/year? Why not hours/seconds/minutes for that matter?

It would be more like: minutes/seconds/hours

It should read the way you say it. 10/1/06 reads October 1st 2006. Unless you guys say the 1st of October 2006 (which doesn't seem right to me).

...and eg. the Germans call twenty-one literally "oneandtwenty", but don't insist on writing it down as "12" because of that.
