theres a program called "adventure game maker" which i have on my pc, can't remember where i got it but i bet its not too hard to find again. It was a free download (hrm.. maybe off torrent *wink*) and you can make adventure games for your PSP. could be handy...

It's not that hard to find...

http://www.adventuremaker.com/index.html

Included on the site are some free PSP adventure-ish games designed using the software.

You could also look into getting the PSP version of ScummVM. I can't think of any published PSP adventure games, though. Maybe the Metal Gear Solid Digital Graphic Novel might count, in a weird sort of way.

Sony isn't big on adventure games.

I don't think there are any apart from Myst.

Myst hasn't got much of a story but what really differentiates Myst from Monkey Island - structurally - other than the fact that Myst is in first person? If you took Guybrush out of Monkey Island or any other 3rd person game, and made it so that when you click on a door the scene changes, or when you click on a person a dialogue immediately comes up... there's really no difference other than Myst has a deliberately different aesthetic and mood than a lot of other AGs.

Also saying "Myst isn't an adventure game" isn't really that controversial unless you were to turn the clock back 8 years.

If you took away everything you wanted changed/ignored you aren't left with much other than a few puzzles which is exactly the argument against Myst, that it's a puzzle game not an adventure.

With that train of logic, any host of dissimilar items can be made to be the same.

Hi Manny Calavera,

There is a game coming to psp from a previous PC version. It claims to be adventure, but I'm not familiar with it. The name is Cave Story and I had a quick search in this site, but nothing came up.

Here is the link for more info.

I don't think saying anything about any game would be controversial unless you were speaking to someone who has a rather distorted view on the importance of games.
